This painting stretches across 5 different 24" x 48" panels. Designed to be hung together and viewed as a unit. In this painting I wanted to explore the messy business of waking up. We’ve all got our ways of getting going, both helpful and in the long run probably maybe little hurtful. Rituals, though, have an importance as messy as they may become. They organize our days, provide stability and get us where we need to be going. Look closely and they may seem haphazard, sad or unhealthy. From a distance though. Is that beauty?
